Sikander Lalani

A Chartered Accountant by profession, Sikander has been an immigration practitioner and consultant for over 18 years. In addition to his immigration expertise, he brings to the table extensive assurance, taxation, management consulting and business planning experience. After spending 8 years at A.F. Ferguson, a member firm of PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC), he took over as Partner at Daudally Lalani & Co in 1985.

Sikander launched Lalani & Associates in 1992 and has since built it into one of the leading and most reputable Immigration Consulting firms in Pakistan. As a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience, Sikander has a strong network and reputation in professional, business and investor circles in Pakistan and the UAE. Due to his reputation and respected professional acumen, he is regularly invited to appear on television to speak on topics such as immigration, finance and business opportunities.

Sikander has advised various corporate entities and SMEs on local and international growth strategies, turnaround strategies and M&A opportunities. He has experience advising companies operating in many industries including but not limited to, real estate, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, trading, pharmaceutical and hospitality.

As a seasoned professional with a vast international business and governmental network, Sikander Lalani is uniquely positioned to advise businesses as they seek to grow and enhance profitability.

Sikander holds a B.Com from Government Commerce College, University of Karachi. He also completed an executive program in Management at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, fellow member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan, has successfully passed the CPA exam from the state of Colorado, is a member of ICCRC, Member of CAPIC and a fellow member of CMI. He completed an immigration practitioner’s course from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada and continues to attend immigration focused professional development seminars and courses to ensure that his clients receive high quality services that are in line with current immigration law.

Gibran Lalani

Gibran joined Lalani & Associates in 2008 after working in the Financial Services/Investment Banking industry in New York, USA. In his previous role he served as Assistant Vice President at Radian Asset Assurance (New York, USA) focusing on Infrastructure Finance, Project Finance, Public-Private Partnerships and Public Finance. He worked on various high profile transactions such as the Chicago Skyway, Florida Citizens Hurricane Damages Liquidity Financing and the Dallas Cowboys Stadium. While at Radian Asset Assurance (New York, USA) and CIFG (New York, USA), Gibran originated over US$1 billion in transactions and structured financial guarantees and credit default swaps on over US$ 5 billion of debt exposure.

Prior to working in the Financial Services Industry, Gibran served as a legislative and policy advisor to the President of the City Council of Philadelphia, USA. In this role he wrote the President’s speeches, created and implemented community and economic development policies, proposed legislation and worked with real estate developers and business groups to encourage urban revitalization.

Gibran holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from McGill University, Montreal, Canada and an MBA from the INSEAD, France/Singapore (ranked as the top MBA program outside the US by Business week and 5th worldwide by the Financial Times).

He is also a certified Blue Ocean Strategist (INSEAD Certificate) which positions him to provide businesses advice on competitive, growth and market entry strategies.

Aly Lalani
Director, Lalani & Associates

Aly joined Lalani & Associates in 2009 after working in Investment Banking in New York, USA. In his previous role Aly served as an Associate – Structured Finance at Seabury Group, a firm providing investment banking, advisory and consulting services to the aviation and aerospace industries.

There, Aly focused on structuring aircraft and other asset-backed financing transactions, bankruptcy and out-of-court restructuring and conducting due diligence for private equity and other investors. He worked on the restructuring of the US$ 1.6 billion dollar US Airways term loan and liquidity raise of $1 billion in 2008 and the Air Canada liquidity program in 2009, raising US$ 1 billion in liquidity. Prior to Seabury, he worked as a Vice President at The Transportation Group (Capital), a boutique investment bank in New York. Aly holds a B.Com in Finance from McGill University, Montreal, Canada.

Azhar Fareed Khan

Azhar joined Lalani & Associates in 1996 after spending 4 years in the management consulting division at A.F. Ferguson, a member firm of PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC). In addition to his understanding of Canadian Immigration, Azhar has extensive experience in providing management and financial consulting to international organizations such as the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.

Azhar holds an MBA in Finance from a US affiliated university.

Moazzam Khan

Moazzam joined Lalani & Associates in 1997 and currently manages our Lahore office. Moazzam holds an MBA from the Philippine Christian University, Manila, Philippines and a BSc from the University of Punjab, Lahore.
